Richard Grenell’s visit to the Copper Mill Sevojno

On Saturday, May 27, 2023, the Copper Mill Sevojno had the honor of hosting Richard Grenell, a well-known American diplomat and former Special Envoy for President Trump for the Western Balkans.

During his visit, Mr Grenell had the opportunity to witness firsthand the exceptional achievements and progress of the Copper Mill in the field of copper production. While touring the facilities, Ambassador Grenell expressed his satisfaction with the successful operation of the factory. He emphasized the role of the Copper Mill Sevojno in the development of the Serbian economy and the creation of new jobs in the region.

During the meeting with the management, discussions were held on the importance of fostering strong international partnerships and promoting trade cooperation between Serbia and the United States. Ambassador Grenell praised the Copper Mill for its dedication to maintaining strong business relationships with partners around the world, which is a key factor in creating economic prosperity. He highlighted that the Copper Mill consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to the local community through various educational, environmental, and healthcare programs, showcasing an admirable level of social responsibility.

In a warm conversation with his longtime friend Desko Nikitović, the owner and President of the Supervisory Board of the Copper Mill, Ambassador Grenell emphasized that he is looking forward to the future joint projects. Two days prior to the visit, Ben Williams also visited the factory and inspected the future solar power plant project.

In light of the visit, the management of the Copper Mill expressed their gratitude to Ambassador Grenell for taking the time to visit their company and for his selfless commitment and contribution to resolving the relationship between Serbia and Kosovo.

The management also emphasized their continued efforts towards constant improvement, innovation, and dedication to the factory, with the intention for the Copper Mill to continue playing a key role in the global copper industry.
